HAPPY HIJRIAH NEW YEAR!!! :D
For those of you who do not know what the new year of Hijra, it is a new year for all the Muslims all over the world. If BC calendar is based on the birth of Prophet Isa, the Hijra year is based on the events of hijrah Prophet Muhammad from Mecca to Medina. Which at Mecca the Prophet and companions often get careless treatment of the inhabitants of Mecca (the tribe of Quraish) because it preserves their beliefs of Islam. Then they migrated to Medina (used to be Yathrib) in order to be better able to practice their religion more freely and without fear of mistreatment of the tribe of Quraish.
The event is called 'hijriah' or in Arabic means 'to move or change'. Hijrah comes from the word 'ha-ja-ra' which means to leave that one leads to the other. Moved from dar ul-kufr to dar ul-Islam. Isn't it wonderful? Especially when you know the history from the beginning to the end. Sooo great.
Oh yeah, like the other calendar, the year of Hijra has 12 months, they are Muharram, Safar, Robi'ul Awwal, Robi'uts Thani, Jumada al-Ula, Jumada Akhiroh / Tsaniyah, Rojab, Sha'ban, Romadhan, Shawwal, Awal , Dhu al-Hijjah. The dating of Hijra calculated from the rotation of moon surround the earth.
Hopefully in this new year, all Muslims are given a stronger faith, more love Allah and His Messenger, the more patient and focused. Amin yes rabbal amalmin. :)Labels: Diary
